I Tired! (of the excuses)

We have been working a little more diligently the last few days on getting Chayse potty trained. He does better if we sit him on his little potty because it plays music when he tinkles. He gets the happiest, most excited look on his face and says, " I DID IT!". He usually gets a little treat for going potty and you would think that would make him get excited to do it again. But there are times like earlier today, when he just makes up excuses for not wanting to go potty on the toilet. This one would have to a favorite of mine...

Chayse has definitely been picking up on things we say lately and using them as an excuse to not do something and even makes up his own ridiculous reasons. I have to say, its pretty funny. Here are a few examples:

(Made this one up himself)

Brandon: "Chayse help me clean up your toys please."

Chayse: "Cant..froat (throat) hurts." ( in a totally pathetic voice)

(Guess I have been complaining too much!)

Nicole: "Chayse come on, lets go downstairs and get things cleaned up for Daddy."

Chayse: "Cant..I hurting...belly hurts...sister kickin me."

I just have to laugh, because really...how cute is it when a 2 yr old comes up with excuses on why they cant do something..and most of the time..their excuses come from us! :)

A Cute "Must See" For the Family

Last night we rented "Game Plan" with The Rock..and I just loved it! Not to mention my secret celebrity crush on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson! (Post WWE phase of his life) It was such a cute family film, and though it was pretty predictable, it was still done in a really cute way. I might add though, that I didn't mind it being predicitable if I could stare at The Rock for an hour and a half without Brandon getting jealous! ;) I have a thing for when he wears shorts and athletic shoes..Im not usually a "leg girl" as Tegan put it..but I guess with him I am. So really I guess this post is turning into a gab sess about The Rock...but really..the movie is cute..I shed a tear or two..and I dont even think it was because I am pregnant. i think they were real legit movie watching tears! So go rent it!

Baby Update

Today marks the 36th week of my pregnancy! I cant believe how fast the time has flown! K well the last few weeks have dragged by, but looking back..it seems like yesterday I was taking the test and grinning so hard my cheeks hurt. Im a week past when I gave birth to Chayse, so everyday is a blessing that she continues to grow and develop in the womb. I think now that its even closer to my due date..Im starting to get cold feet. Wait..can you have cold feet when you are pregnant? Haha, anyway..I just know it will hurt...A LOT..but then again the outcome makes everything so worth it! I go to the doctor on Thursday and will give an update as soon as we know more!

P.S. My husband so kindly reminded me that the longer she is in there, the bigger she will get. That doesn't help when I am trying to do it epidural free!!! :)

New Computer

Im so excited that we got a new computer finally! My laptop went out a few weeks ago, and we have no idea why. I called and luckily its under warranty so we can send it in and get it fixed. But meanwhile, we were stuck with only our desktop, which is just outdated and was having plenty of issues of its own. So my darling husband agreed that we needed another one and we went on Saturday to look. Well for those of you who know me, I dont like to just "look". If I find one I like, I want to buy it right then and there! Luckily we found one that we both liked, or maybe I just liked it and Brandon knew not to disagree! :) Im getting used to using VISTA and at first I was so frustrated because I couldn't pull up some documents I had saved from our old computer, and I was about to chuck the whole thing at the wall...but Tegan helped me figure it out and so luckily for my computer...I have everything figured out and LOVING IT! I love having a nice big flat screen, unlike our other screen that was a big and bulky. So today I am in a great mood, playing around with my new computer, was able to take a long nap, and Chayse is still sleeping, leaving me time to do random blogs like this..and still no baby! ;)

Baby Update!

As of today I am 35 wks and 2 days! I had my doctor's appointment this afternoon and learned that I had progressed to 2 cm and 70 % efaced now. As crazy as it sounds, to those of you who have gone full term or were overdue...I FEEL OVERDUE! Im 2 days past when I had Chayse, and 2 days to a pregnant woman feels like an eternity! I feel so ready to be done, and I still have 4 wks and 5 days until Im full term! I know every day she is in there, the better of she will be and I keep reminding myself of that. Its an uncomfortable seat on the fence; I want to be done so bad..but I know she needs to cook a little longer! Days that Im feeling like a fat cow, to where even my maternity clothes are getting small.... I tend to lean towards wanting to be done..NOW! Then there are the nights like Tuesday night, that I was having really bad contractions, and it hurt like heck..and I kept thinking "Please dont let this be it..Please let her stay in there longer!. Im not ready for the pain!" So we will just see what happens, she could come tonight or not for another week. I do not, however, believe I will go past 37 wks. Like always, I will keep you all updated!

Feel free to look below and see what I feel like at the moment:

Goodnight!

Another early baby??

(Me at 34 wks)

So today I am 34 wks 2days along. I went in for my doc appt and found out that I am dialated 1.5 cm and 60% efaced. I had somewhat of an inkling that I might be dialated because of some pains I have been having. Some people can be dialated 1-2 cm until their due date, but we aren't thinking that is the case for me. Both pregnancies in the past, I went into labor within a week of me starting to dialate. My doc basically said that with my history and the fact that I am past 34 weeks, they wont put me on strict bedrest or do anything to agressively stop the labor. If I do go into labor they may try tributylene (sp?) to slow down the process, but wont try and stop it. We are ofcourse hoping she stays in as long as possible, but think it will most likely be within the next week or so. So I was told to get lots of rest, relax, and we will just go from here and see what happens..so that is what I am going to go do right now! We will keep you all updated as things progress!

Christmas Post a Little Late!

So I'm finally getting around to doing my Christmas Post! Its been quite a busy last couple of weeks around The Leavitt Household!

The few days before Christmas were spent at my inlaws house, hanging out, doing last minute shopping (on my husband's part..I was good and had it all done in plenty of time!) , making gingerbread houses, and eating yummy food! We were never home and felt like we were always on the go doing SOMETHING!

Christmas Eve morning, Brandon's brother and his wife and kids came up and we have a really yummy brunch and opened presents! It was fun to get to see them and to spend time together with the Leavitts for Christmas! Around 12:30 we left to go to Sandy to spend Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day with my dad! It was Chayse's first Christmas at my dad's house and we made sure that Santa Claus knew we had changed places on him! :) I think this Christmas he got more excited as he understood more of who Santa was and what he brought, though I do wish we had focused more on the true meaning of Christmas with him, rather than the commercial side of it. I think as he gets older he will understand that side more! On Christmas Eve we went to dinner at my dad's girlfriend's sister's house and Chayse had a blast being the center of attention with all the ladies around! We woke up Christmas morning and opened our stockings and all the presents and Chayse decided it was his job to help everyone open presents! Chayse defininately got spoiled this year..so he is going to help us go through his toys and pick out some to give to charity or DI.

We were so happy this Christmas Season to be able to spend time with those we love most. Though it was hard for me to not have my sister and her little family with us this year! Her and I have gotten so close again, specially after Jonas came into our lives. I love her dearly and wish that we could live closer together! She is such an amazing mother, friend, sister and confidant! I love you Kimber! Next Christmas we will all be together k?! :)

We are excited for what this next year will bring with adding a new baby to our family, Brandon's promotion, buying a house, finishing school and Chayse growing into more of a little man each day! We will definitely keep you all updated as our lives progress and change!

I finally gave in...Im addicted

Let me start off by saying..Vampires and Werewolves..NOT MY THING...AT ALL! I kept hearing about this Twilight trilogy, that it was "so so good!" and a "must read!". I hesitated because books that have to do with fantasy and things like that, just isn't something I like to indulge myself in. All my mother in law could say to explain the books was, " Well you just HAVE to read it!" So after Christmas, I finally gave in..and oh my heavens...I was stuck, addicted, oblivious to the outside world as I read these books. My family probably missed me a bit while I was reading them. I am halfway through the 3rd book (and they are pretty long)..and seriously with the first two..I was constantly curled up on the comfy chair with a blanket with my nose stuck in the book. I have been a little bit better about the 3rd one, realizing I still have a family to take care of..but that doesn't mean I don't itch to get curled back up and see what happens next! I seriously recommend these books, specially to those who were as skeptical as I was! Im also very excited because they are
doing a movie that is set to come out December of 2008!
