Happy Thanksgiving to All!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all eat tons of yummy food, get to lay around and play fat dog (DEF: (verb) : to lay around like lazy dogs after eating a ton of food; very well known around the Fahnestock Family gatherings), and to be able to enjoy the time spent with family and friends.

I am so thankful for my family and friends and for the love, support, entertainment, humor, laughter and good memories they provide me with and I love you all so much! I'm also thankful for the country in which we live, the freedoms we share and the beautiful place that I live. I also have to specifically say that I am thankful for my husband. How lucky I am that he is such a hard worker and dedicated student, all so that I can stay at home with my kids. I don't show him enough how thankful I am for the amazing father he is to my kid and husband he is to me! I love you so much and love that you are in my life!

So all of you, make sure to tell those you love that you are thankful for them! Also, in these hard times when its so easy to be down on yourself or upset about what we can't afford or complain about needing to cut back on things, please remember to be thankful for the small things that make us smile each day.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES TWILIGHT SEQUEL - NEW MOON-Los Angeles, CA November 22, 2008 — Summit Entertainment announced today that the studio is officially moving forward with the production of NEW MOON, the second installment of its filmed franchise TWILIGHT, the action-packed, modern day vampire love story. The movie will be based on the second novel in author Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series titled, New Moon. The first movie in the TWILIGHT franchise, the self-titled TWILIGHT, arrived in theaters this weekend to sold-out showings.Stephenie Meyer stated, "I don't think any other author has had a more positive experience with the makers of her movie adaptation than I have had with Summit Entertainment. I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with them again on NEW MOON." [source: Summit Entertainment (summit-ent.com)]
I am excited for this to come out, but have mixed feelings about the content. I didn't like the second book as much because I have NEVER wanted Jacob and Bella to get together, and Edward isn't even in most of the book. Not to mention Jacob is NOT cute in the movie. Having said that and sounding like a complete "teenie bopper star crazed Twilight fan"..I will go see it, because realistically how can I not?

Twilight

Since everyone is going to post about this and it will get repetive for all of you to read..this is all I will say.

Yes, I loved it..it was awesome!

Oh and I sat by really annoying highschool girls who were practically screaming when Edward came on the screen and being COMPLETELY and UTTERLY stupid the entire movie and wouldn't wouldnt walk out of the aisle when it was over because theyhad to see more of Edward. I wanted to punch them...seriously.

Oh and the fire alarm when off during the movie, and the sound went out once..

But yes, I loved it.

(Yes I realized I started a sentence with "but"..oh well I am tired and don't care.)

Feeding Sister

Chayse loves to sit one of the kitchen chairs and feed his sister and tell her all sorts of stories. I caught a few pics of a feeding session a couple days ago. He really is so sweet with her, and loves her to death. Its so sweet to see them actually playing and interacting with eachother now. The other day he got hurt and she was giving him hugs and patting him on the back because she knew he was sad. It was really sweet! We always kept telling him that she couldn't do this or that, but when she got older she could. So now that Alexa is pretty much walking (she is scaling along furniture, and taking 6 or so steps at a time and is taking off on her own without us coaxing her to walk)...Chayse is excited about her "being bigger now" and being able to do more with him! They are such great kids and I couldn't love them more!

Blackmail

This is my son..and yes he is wearing my high heeled boots... and yes I let him..and yes I took pictures of him for blackmail to be used at a later date.

Happy Birthday LaDonna!

Today is my mother in law's birthday! We celebrated by going out to dinner at Iggy's! It was yummy and fun to chat and have dinner together. We are celebrating again when Justin and Jenny come this weekend...and AGAIN when I take her out for her bday to see Twilight and to dinner! There is nothing like a two week long celebration right?! :)

(Sorry, this is the only pic I had on my computer because I just cleared a bunch off)

Thanks for all you do LaDonna. You have taught me a lot about being more "domesticated", your Sunday dinners are something we look forward to weekly (We won't mention my husband's excitement is probably based off getting one really amazingly good home cooked meal each week! haha), my kids adore you and you are very special to us! We love you and hope you have a totally awesome year ahead of you!

Alexa is 9 Months Old!

Alexa turned 9 months on the 7th.Once again..I am going to say it..TIME FLIES! It seriously seemed like it took forever for Chayse to be this age..but with Lex..it has just flown. It make me sad because I love her at this stage and I don't want her to get bigger!
She went to the doctor today! She is 19 lbs 8 oz and 27 1/4 inches long. So in the last 3 months she has gained about 2 lbs and grew 1 in. The doctor said she is as healthy as can be and looks like her developmental skills are awesome. She has 3 teeth on top and 4 teeth on bottom and more on the way! She is getting ready for some steak! Haha!According to me, Brandon lost the bet that Alexa would be walking by 9 months. According to Alexa's pediatrician she is now walking. He says to him, if they are walking along furniture or along side you while you are holding hands..how is that any different than an old man walking with a cane..they still consider them walking. I personally don't consider them walking til they can walk without holding on..and she is on the verge. She took a step with both feet yesterday when Travis was playing with her. He is a good luck charm because Chayse started walking when Travis was there helping him..and Alexa took her first steps with Travis.
Anyway, she is too fun..into everything still...and has a smile that could melt you in a heartbeat. She has a new face that she makes that has us laughing constantly. She scrunches up her nose and puckers out her lips and breathes in and out. Its usually when you have something she wants or did something she didnt want you to do.
We love her dearly!

Midnight Show Sold Out!

To my Logan friends..I could be wrong, so double check before the tears start to flow because you won't ge to see the very first showing, but when I went on the internet to purchase tickets to see Twilight..it said that the midnight showing is all sold out. I recommend buying your tickets online now! I'm taking my mother-in-law for her birthday. Good times will be had! I have her to thank for bringing this addiction to into my life! :) Haha!

Family Pictures

My friend Laurel and I did a trade and did eachother's family pictures on Friday afternoon. Despite the quickly dwindling light and a 3 yr old who wouldn't smile when told for all the suckers in the world..we got some great photos! We left the editing up to eachother and I had fun messing around with these pics! Thanks Laurel!

Here are my favs!

Halloween

Halloween was a fun day! I got the kids ready and Brandon and I took the kids to the mall to go trick or treating. It was crazy busy this year but still fun! Alexa of course didnt do the whole trick or treating bit, but Chayse sure loves to get all the candy! :)

After that we headed home and I got my costume on. I haven't dressed up in 5 yrs, so it was fun for me. I was a witch, a nice one...though the past week, some would beg to differ haha! Brandon was a tall guy with lots of hair. Its as far as I could get him to go this year! :)

Here are a couple pics of us in our costumes.

Alexa the Ballerina! (Thanks for the tutu again Tegan!)

Chayse said he wanted to be a lion again and since his costume still fit him, I was all for it, especially since it saved me money! :)

Here is my self portrait as a "Nice Witch"! :)

~*~

We headed over to our ward's Trunk or Treat. It was fun to see all the cute costumes and be able to mingle.

Dave & Brandon passing out candy. (No elephant face on you today Dave..the clown face works just fine! :) )

My two awesome neighbors, Jacque & Luisa!

The cutest Goldfish ever!!

~*~

After the Trunk or Treat we ended up over at the Rupps to hang out! We had homemade pizzas and played Apples to Apples while the kids watched a movie and played. Casey and Luisa were very entertaining in their ways to try and manipulate the judges to pick their cards! It was fun and hilarious (probably more so because we were all tired! haha!) I only got one picture and that was of Casey's costume. It most likely would have won an award..if we had an award. Maybe next time!

Preschool Halloween Party

On Thursday Chayse had his Preschool Halloween Party at Jacque's house for them and their siblings! It was a lot of fun! We decorated pumpkins, decorated sugar cookies and the kids played together while us moms chatted!

Chayse with his pumpkin

Alexa's pumpkind that she "helped" decorate.
This ring made Chayse's day!

I decided this is a cute, fun, "no mess" way of doing pumpkins! The kids were able to help out more and there was no danger of cutting off fingers! :)
