Christmas Day

Christmas morning, we woke up before the kids and I am pretty sure I was more excited than they were. Well...maybe a close second to Chayse, but he hasn't realized that Christmas morning is the one and only morning that he can wake us up really early and I wont have a chip on my shoulder the rest of the day! ;) Luckily Chayse woke up shortly after we did, and that may or may not have had to do with the fact that I was being on the louder side! Haha! Chayse was so excited to go get his sister and she wasn't, but quickly perked up after they went downstairs and saw what Santa had brought them!

Look at my girl rockin her style! She gets it from her dad! ;) Haha just kiddin babe!

After we finished our Christmas morning, we went back over to Brandon's parent's house for Christmas breakfast! We had a delicious breakfast casserole, sticky buns and french toast. It was so good! We are so thankful that we got to have Grandma DeMill with us this Christmas! She is a very special lady and so important to all of us. She is so sweet and great with the kids. I have mentioned this before, but Chayse has this little bond with Grandma. He enjoys talking with her and telling stories, and listening to her stories. He loves to draw with her and she didnt mind a bit. We love her and are so thankful for the example that she and Grandpa have set for everyone. We dont know how much longer she will be with us, because we know she wants to be in heaven with her sweetheart so badly, and so I am glad we got to share this special holiday with her! We love you Grandma!

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve, we went to Brandon's parents house! It was a lot of fun! We ate lots of yummy food, delicious treats and are probably regretting it now! ;) Some went sledding, others stayed in the warm house and visited. We played a game then did presents. It was so sweet, because LaDonna took the tool boxes that Brandon and Justin had as little boys and refinished them and put the little boys' names on them and gave it to them with a bunch of tools. It was so cool to have them play with the same things their dads did when they were young! LaDonna always outdoes her self when it comes to what she makes us all for Christmas. She made each of the little girls, a doll blanket and each of the couples a totally awesome movie quilt! (Along with a huge bowl full of popcorn, our favorite treats and drinks and movies! It was so fun!

After that we went home and had our first Christmas Eve/Christmas morning at home. The Christmas Eve Elves came and knocked on the door and left a couple of boxes for Alexa and Chayse. It was there Christmas Eve pajamas! That meant that Santa was getting close to our house and the kids had better get to bed. Chayse went to bed like a charm. Why cant Santa come all year round? Haha! Brandon and I were able to finish up all of our last minute shopping and head to bed at a decent time ourselves!
