Congratulations Brandon!

Just had to give my husband a pat on the back for his big promotion at work yesterday! He works for a loan company here in Logan, and has been a supervisor over the collections department for a year now. He has been hoping to be promoted to manager and we have been hoping and praying for that. He was told yesterday he starts his new title on Monday, (or Wed rather, when they get back from the holiday.) He and another gentleman have taken on a lot of responsibilities as the managers over the 3 areas of collections: the employees who work from home, the employees at the office, and the employees working with Australia. This company is going from a small loan company in Logan, UT to global and growing very quickly. They just had investors in Australia decide to do loans there, and run the loans through the Logan office. As time passes, they hope to dip into Great Brittain, New Zealand and a few other countries. They are dabbling in doing so many different things, making so many doors open for Brandon in the future! They currently have about 30 employees and are hoping within the next few months to bump that up to, I believe 70-80 employees. (im pretty sure that is what Brandon said) Whatever the number is...they are hoping to grow like crazy! Im so proud of Brandon for all the hard work he has put into this company. We are so glad that he chose to stick with this company because it has really proven to pay off! Good job babe! We are so proud of you!

Bye Bye Dylan!

Yesterday was my last day of nannying for The Robinson Family. I have been with Dylan since he was 3 months old, and he just turned 1 on Dec 19. It has been so fun to see him grow and develop throughout the 9 months I was with him. He is such a fun little guy with a great personality. Chayse and Dylan got along really well for the most part and I know that Chayse will sure miss playing with his little buddy every day during the week! Danilo and Shelley were so great to work for! Shelley and I became fast friends and I looked forward to our morning chats before she left for work! I am sure I will watch Dylan here and there for them still before the baby comes, and even after she comes, cuz I can just take her with me. I just decided that when I hit 32 weeks, I just needed time to get ready for Alexa to get here, and to be able to relax and try and keep her in as long as possible! Luckily it worked out with when Shelley went on Christmas Break (she is a school teacher)..and that would give them time to get ready and adjusted to the new place she would be taking Dylan! It makes me sad because Dylan will be watched by someone else, and I definitely got attached to him! I will miss his huge smile when he sees me walk in his house, and the cute little chubby arms he held out for me to come pick him up, and the way he would bury his head on my shoulder and just laugh when he was in a playful mood! I feel lucky to have been able to watch such a great little boy!
(These are old pics from when we first started nannying Dylan..Shelley has the most recent ones of us together, so I will post those when I get them from her! He is still such a cute little guy with a big ol' fro..SO CUTE!)

Christmas Party!

(WARNING: slightly long post!)
On Saturday night, we had our good friends, The Congers , over for a little Christmas party! It's always fun when they come from Twin Falls, and can spend time with us! I made really yummy sweet pulled pork enchiladas, that my sister gave me the recipe for. (Let me know if you are interested in the recipe, its very comparable to the ones at Costa Vida) After dinner we hung out, chatted, exchanged gifts and had some delicious peppermint ice cream! It was fun getting the kids together and letting them play. As time goes by, the age difference between them (5 mos) seems to matter less and less. They play pretty well together, though Chayse seems to want to be more affectionate and she is beginning to think boys have cooties! :) Here are some pics from our fun evening! I just wish they lived back in Logan, so we could get together lots, like the old times! We miss you guys already! :)
(eating some yummy ice cream!)

(she likes him...)

(...just doesn't want him to kiss her!)

( the best!)

(opening presents!)

(Chayse and Peyton)

We had lots of fun and were sad to have our party be over, but we look forward to the next time they come into town and can come play! I was being my emotionally preggo self, and telling Tegan that night how lucky I feel to have such a great friendship with her! There are few times in your life that you get the opportunity to meet someone who just "gets you and still loves you". I can tell her the most random wierdest things, and she just understands, and whats more..she is probably thinking the same thing! I was really sad when she moved way to Twin, but our friendship has stayed strong. Thank goodness for internet and cell phones right? Haha! Anyway, just wanted to thank you Tegan for all the fun times, endless phone conversations, fabulous recipe advice, gossip sessions, "kid time" with our little ones, sneaking away to breakfast, work "experiences", numerous shopping trips, craft times, and the shoulder or ear you always offer when I need someone to chat with you! I love you for being such an awesome friend!

Almost 30 weeks!

On Tuesday I will be 30 weeks! I cant believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by! I know once I hit the "30's"...then time will just fly by even more! I was told by my husband last night, that come mid-January..I cant go anywhere by myself, just in case I go into labor. His dad works 2 min away from where we live, so he feels like if I am at home at least, his dad can make it over to help with Chayse til he can make it there. (Mind you he only works like 12 min away...7 min if there isnt any traffic.) So as nice as it would be for things to move that quickly, I told him I would be fine and Im sure he would make it home in time to take me to the hospital before she came out! Haha! Luckily Logan is small enough that no matter where I am..someone is close by! He is also crossing his fingers that the baby comes on a weekend because that gives him more time with the baby before he would have to go back to work. It was endearing to see the wheels turning and planning the upcoming birth. Unfortunately..(specially with me)...birth just isnt something we can plan!

I know this sounds totally lame, but Im just worried about the hospital stay and being away from Chayse so much! Depending on when you deliver at Logan Regional, they usually have you stay 3 days..hospital policy. I haven't ever been away from Chayse more than overnight, and we took him to my inlaws later and picked him up way early..so Im just not used to being away from my little buddy! Thats what he totally is, my little buddy..we are always together! I know he can come visit in the hospital, but realistically how long will a 2 1/2 yr old be able to sit in a hospital room! Oh well, Im sure I will have enough to worry about with the new little one and trying to get some sleep in between, that I wont even really think about it. K Im done with my ramblings! :)

Its Beginning to Look Like Winter!

Earlier this week, Logan got the first snowfall of the season and needless to say Chayse was so excited to go play in the snow! His dad taught him how to throw snowballs, in the house even! Bad Daddy! Oh well, he had a blast and is very excited to help Daddy build a snowman when there is more snow!

Finally...The Home Stretch!

Well everyone, as of Tuesday I am finally 28 weeks and in my 3rd trimester! Yahoo! I haven't given a pregnancy updated in quite some time, so here it goes! Everything looks great with the baby! She is definitely getting bigger and is constantly kicking me to let me know she is in there! I had my glucose test on Tuesday, and everything came back fine, except for the fact that I am pretty anemic (low iron). So, I get to take fun little iron pills, and hopefully that will help with my energy levels! I also had to get Rhogam shot because my blood is RH-, which from what I can understand from the doc, will create antibodies against the baby's blood, unless I get the shot to prevent it. If anyone knows better, let me know..cuz that is what I could understand!
I am having problems AGAIN with my sciatic nerve, making it hard to walk by the end of the day! Its pretty hard with having to run around after a 2 yr old, but we make it work! :) My sweet husband gets off work and takes over if Im not feeling well. The further along I get, the bigger she gets, and the more it hurts! Its all worth it though, to see this beautiful little girl here in the next few months!

So, its up in the air as to when lil Alexa will make her appearance. I have had two premature babies so far, with no apparent reasons causing it. My first pregnancy was ended at 36 wks, and my second at 35 wks. They haven't run any tests to see why I have premature babies, but I guess it isnt any reason too obvious! I guess thats just when Heavenly Father feels like they should enter into this world! Its crazy to think that if Alexa is on Chayse's schedule we will have another baby in 7 wks! We are hoping she gets on her own schedule and can at least make it until 37 wks, or if we are really lucky..FULL TERM! (This is such an unkown term to me!) It was hard enough having Chayse in the NICU..I cant imagine having one child already and having to handle a baby in the NICU. We barely left the hospital all 9 days Chayse was in there, and I know that isn't possible when we have Alexa! Luckily, they say girls develop faster than boys, and girls dont have to go to the NICU as often as boys do. ( Case in point: A girl that Brandon used to work with, had her baby girl 6 wks early, and she didnt have to spend anytime in the NICU.)

I have this next week off from nannying, and then I only have two more weeks left until I go on my permanent maternity leave! I will be almost 32 weeks, and decided I should probably get lots of rest and relaxation and some deep cleaning done before she arrives! I will miss getting to hang out with Dylan, and I know Chayse will miss his little buddy as well! They have been such a fun family to work for! I am sure I will still watch him from time to time, which is fine by me!

Well I will keep you all updated as the time draws nearer and nearer! I have my next Baby Doc appt on Dec 10! Cross your fingers she stays in for as long as possible, and that I can still walk by the time I deliver her! :)

How dorky am I?

I debated on whether or not I should reveal what a total dork I am, but oh well! So long story short, I recently was given back a lot of my things that I thought were long gone, from my mom's old apartment! The apt manager was nice enough to contact me 4 1/2 yrs later and tell me there was a storage that had some of my stuff in it! SO anyway, I got back my old cd case, that had a bunch of cds in it from high school! This morning on my way home from dropping Brandon off to work, I was flipping through and found this old Backstreet Boys CD! Oh my heavens, you better believe I popped that cd right in and Chayse and I started bustin out to "Backstreet's back...ALRIGHT!" Chayse got a kick out of the cd, and it was fun to take a stroll down memory lane! Walk with me...

Novemberfest

This is the first year I went to Novemberfest here in Logan! Let's just say its good I exercised a little self control and didn't spend TOO much money! Of course I did have to buy a few things for Alexa! Here is the website of one of the craft stations that was there: Daisies N' Dots . The girl who runs this website is so darling and has the cutest things on her website! Here are the things I bought from her and can I tell you, I am so so excited!!! ( This is the Mommy Cover I got for nursings, except for mine has pink polka dots! )( This darling Pacifier Pod from JJ Cole, which I was told is a necessity! You can get this here)

Also, my friend Heather's sister had a darling booth at Novemberfest as well! She sells darling little bracelets, headbands and bows for little girls! So, of course I had to get some for Alexa! Her website is so darling, go visit it at babytrendz.com
Here is what I got from her!

Darling interchangeable headband w/cute little bows! I cant wait to bring Alexa home with her new chic accessories!

A few new pics!

Here are a few new pics of Chayse! He is such a handsome little guy! He literally makes me laugh all day long, and even though we are going through the terrible two's...he can always make up for it, by his sweet hugs and kisses! He is getting excited for his baby sister to get here and often tells us she will be here in "5 minutes"! He understands she is in Mommy's belly and said last night, " Mommy's belly..out!"..so I think he is ready! :)( It may look like he is crying..but really..he is laughing cuz the other kids that were playing by him were "funny")(Please take notice of the new hair gel he likes to use...most call it Ranch Dressing)
(Typical dinner time with Chayser Man!)(Our cute little angel boy!)

Anyway, he is so much fun and I just cant enough of this cute little guy! With any luck, and some crossing of the fingers, we will get two perfect little angels! ( Haha ya right! :) )

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm a little late on posting about Thanksgiving, but better late than never! We had a great time down at Brandon's brother, Justin's house! They built a new house that was finished this summer and felt it needed a "christening" with a family event! Thanks for having us! There was a lot of yummy food, and I definitely ate way too much! That's what Thanksgiving is for though right? I love this time of year and being able to spend time with family! We just all sat around after stuffing ourselves and talked and watched a movie and of course the guys had to go play their rounds of intense Ping Pong. You never know who REALLY wins because they always come upstairs boasting of their skills, and how "no one can beat them!" I didn't really take many pictures..but here are a few that I did take! Excuse my child's messy shirt! He is a messy eater! Haha!(Chayse didn't have much interest in the picture!)
(The little ones at their own table for Thanksgiving!)
( I caught Brandon stuffing his face before dinner! :) )(Eating some yummy pie!)
(Chayse and Kai...best buds!)

All in all...I'm so thankful for family and the love and support they show for us! I missed being with my side of the family at my grandparents this year, but we definitely had a great time with Brandon's family! Thanks to everyone for all the hard work they put into making it such a fun day!

Thanks Honey!

This weekend I came down with the flu. It started a little bit on Friday night but hit me full force on Saturday. I was in bed ALL day! I haven't had the flu while being pregnant before, and I must say its not enjoyable. You not only feel like you want to throw up all day, and then to have the little one attempting to play soccer w/ your stomach..Just doesnt settle too well haha! I felt so so guilty because literally I couldnt do anything, I couldn't even laugh w/o feeling like I was going to lose it! I felt horrible because I was supposed to watch Dylan for the afternoon, and there was just no way I could! Around 3:30 I got enough energy to get in the bath and fell asleep afterwards for a bit..I felt functionable..then I when I tried to get ready, it all came flooding back..and knocked me back into bed the rest of the night! My husband was so wonderful! He waited on me hand and foot and took care of Chayse all day long! What mother doesnt love a day off? Though it would have been nice to be under other circumstances! I just really appreciate how sweet he was and how well he handled our little 2 yr old's demands all day long! He is such a great dad! Chayse is a lucky little guy! Luckily when I woke up this morning, I felt a ton better! I was so starving because all I had yesterday was some bread, crackers, popsicle and applesauce...which felt like nothing since I am pregnant! We headed to Angies around 8:30 for some yummy breakfast and walked around Smiths Marketplace looking at rugs and what not..it proved to be a little too much too soon and I came home and crashed on the couch. I am feeling much better right now..and am thankful this didnt happen during the week, for Thanksgiving! God was watching out for me! Lets cross our fingers my little family doesnt get it!

Contacts are awesome!!

I have no idea why I waited til I was 24 to get contacts!!! I LOVE THEM! I just got them this afternoon and am already in love. It feels so weird to be able to see..without glasses! I never used to wear my glasses all that much..just mainly for driving at night or watching TV, so I didnt really see the need to get contacts. But for some reason last April I started wearing them all the time..then it just got to the point that I had to wear them because otherwise I would get a headache! I was getting so sick of them..that I finally decided to get contacts! OH MY HEAVENS..I LOVE THEM! :) Just thought I would share that with you all!

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

HAPPY 3rd ANNIVERSARY!!!

Today, three years ago, I married an amazing guy! I cant believe its already been that long! I guess time flies when you are having fun right? Our first three years together has definately been something I never expected! Marriage is one of the hardest but most rewarding things I think we get to experience in life! With a 2 yr old, a baby girl on the way, both of us doing school and working..life can definately get hectic..but at the end of the day..I know Brandon is the one I am supposed to be with, and I couldn't imagine life with anyone else. He is such an amazing dad and husband, specially lately for putting up with my pregnancy hormones haha! He has a really kind heart and would do anything for us and his family and friends! I dont think I tell him enough how much I really appreciate all that he does! I love him so so much and am looking forward to another great year of marriage! Love you honey!

Happy Halloween!

Here are a few pictures from Halloween yesterday! Chayse had a blast in his "raar-raar" costume! Brandon and I took him to the mall to do Trunk or Treating in the parking lot, then inside the mall around to all the stores. It was cute to see Chayse go up to the people and say "Trick Treat" in his cute little voice. He was very polite and always said thank you! Sometimes he felt entitled to more than one helping of candy, but he looked so dang cute..no one minded! :) Chayse got a little scared of some of the costumes and would let us know by saying, "Scarrreeddd...Shaaaake.." but Daddy saved him and made him not scared anymore! :) Then after that we went to Brandon's parents house for some dinner and just to hang out. We decided on the way home to stop by The Robinson's house (the family i nanny for)..so Chayse could see his little buddy Dylan all dressed up. Needless to say we were pooped after that, and were ready for bed! It was definately a fun day, specially since Chayse started understanding this year and was excited to wear his costume.

Chayse got his picture taken
on the firetruck at the Trunk
or Treating!

My first haircut!

In almost 3 yrs of being married, I finally cut Brandon's hair. I started shaving/buzzing (whatever you call it), this summer...but never have done an official haircut. I shyed away from it because my mother in law said his hair is hard to cut. Well I didnt do the best job ever, but i was pretty proud of my first haircut. We wont mention the inch long bald spot in the back of his head, and Brandon was a good sport about it! Haha! Ofcourse I wanted to take a picture of my "wonderous feat"...but Brandon thought it was ridiculous..as you can tell by his face in the picture and that i tried to catch him as he was walking away haha!

Just had to Share!

For my 3rd post of the day, I just had to share this cute picture of Chayse's costume for this upcoming Halloween! Its his "Raar-Rarrrrr" costume! You cant see from this picture, but it comes with warm lion pants that are too cute! Ofcourse I will post more pictures on Halloween, but I thought this picture was too cute not to share! :)
