July Boise Trip

A few weeks ago, we headed to Boise for work/play. My friend, Steve, from highschool was marrying the woman of his dreams, and I was lucky enough to be the one to photograph it! We also wanted to head to McCall and spend some time at the cabin while we were down that way!

We headed out Friday morning, and go to our hotel mid-afternoon. We went out to Blimpie (LOVE LOVE LOVE that place and we don't have one in Cache Valley) and then we went to Settler's park! My kids love that park because it's a gigantic splash pad, dropping buckets of water, things that spray and a huge play area to the side of the splash pad. It's a fabulous park! I unfortunately got sick with a stupid summer cold, the morning we were leaving, so I just layed out on our blanket and relaxed while the kids and Brandon played. Later that night we went to TCBY, another place I love...and another place that Cache Valley doesn't have..so I said we had to go and I had to get my infamous white chocolate mousse with Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Cups!

Then on Saturday we got a fabulous hot breakfast at the hotel and we went down to the church to get some preliminary photos for the wedding. We came back, got ready and it was time to head out to the wedding! It was a gorgeous one, let me tell you! It was hotter than heck and I felt bad for the bride because it's no fun being hot and stressed! The guys were in suits and that couldn't have been fun..but they were a good group and put a smile on their faces to get the fun pics! My friend, Katie Turley came to help me and I truely appreciate it! It was a blast!

While I was at the wedding, the kids and Brandon went over to my sister's house and played, ate dinner and swam! Thanks for entertaining my family while I was gone Kimber!

On Sunday we went over and hungout with my sister for a bit. I loved holding my sweet little niece, Berlin. The kids played so well together and I am glad we got to spend time together!

That night, we got the opportunity to go to Heather & Ben's house to visit Luke. Thanks so much to them for that! I have seen Luke a few times since I placed him, but it was fun this time because I really got to sit down and play with him. He is just learning how to read, so it was fun to have him read a book to me. He really enjoys drawing, and I loved seeing all his artwork. Chayse and him played really well together, so that was a lot of fun! Luke is such a fun little guy, with such a great personality! Thanks, Heather and Ben, for the fabulous dinner and the great evening!

Monday morning we got up, packed up and headed to the cabin. We went to the store, got some stuff for a picnic and went straight to the lake! I absolutely love McCall. So many fun memories there growing up, and it was great to be able to share that with my kids. We went to the Toll House for dinner..one of my fav places there, and we would have loved to do S'mores..but it was pretty windy and we didnt want to start a fire..and end up catching the entire street on fire..so we settled for microwave s'mores! So not the same haha!

{Breakfast on the deck! Loved the fresh mountain air!}

{Chayse loves cowboys and my grandparents have a Cowboys & Indians room at their cabin and so we had to get a picture of the kids in it for my grandma! So cute!}

{This place seriously warms my heart! I just love it! So many memories, and you feel so much peace here. Love it!}

Everyone was getting homesick so we headed back to Boise after we were done at the lake, and went to my sister's house. We got pizza and the kids and Brandon went swimming. Chayse is lovin the water now! He was deathly afraid until we introduced the floaties! Now we can't get him out of the water! It was time to go and Brandon put him up on the side, and he didnt want to get out..so he ran and jumped back into the pool..and jumped right on the stairs..racking his shin pretty good. Taught him not to get back in after he was told to get out haha!

{My sis and her sweet babes!}

The next day we headed home! It was a lot of fun, but it's always good to be home!

4th of July

Better late than never right? We have just been havin a blast playin all summer!

For the 4th of July weekend, we headed to Syracuse to spend it at Brandon's brother's house. We swam in their neighborhood pool, BBQ'd, played volleyball and did fireworks! We stayed over that night, and then in the morning got up and got everyone ready for family pictures. Yes I took them and did the whole, set the timer...run over to the group..and try and make myself look presentable in what seems like 5 seconds. (The camera says 10 seconds, but I swear it lies). Later that afternoon we headed to Jacque's house with my dad, bro and his girlfriend and had a fabulous 4th of July meal!

Thanks for the fun weekend everyone!! It was a lot of fun!

{Aren't they just so cute together? I think so! :) }
