Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend for us was spent in Boise! I finally got to hold and cuddle my darling new niece, Berlin and hang out with my mom and grandma and aunt and my grandparents from my Dad's side! It was a relaxing 5 days and we had a great time!
We got in Saturday afternoon and headed straight to my sister's house and it was so fun to see her and her cute family! It's been getting harder and harder to live far away from her because she truely is my best friend...but who knows...maybe live will lead us back there sometime in the next couple years! We just hung out there and then headed to my grandparents house where we were staying and had a great time hanging out with them and had a fabulous dinner!
The next day we went to church and then headed over to my sister's house for another fabulous dinner with her family, my mom, grandma and aunt! My mom lives in CA and so we dont get to see her a lot, and it was great for the kids to be able to hang out with their grandma, great grandma and great aunt and we of course took lots of pics!

On Monday, I went over and did Berlin's newborn pics. The little sweetie did NOT want to sleep and it was ok, we worked with it and got fabulous pics of her! Love her so much! You can check out the sneak peek here. Then we had a BBQ and my grandparents house and Brandon showed off his mad BBQ skills!(Alexa looks like a ragamuffin in these pics, but she didnt care at the time and neither did I! Haha! )
I love this picture of Chayse laughing! I have no idea what it was about, but it was obviously hilarious! :)

Tues we were able to meet up with my mom and grandma for lunch at one of my fav places, Blue Sky Bagels! After that we headed back to spend some time with my grandpa. I watched "The Music Man" with him and it was really special because I used to do that with him when I was younger. It was fun to be able to do that with him, and my little Chayse. Its a good movie. Check it out! That night we had Kimber over for a yummy ham dinner made by my grandma and we had a little birthday party for her.

Wednesday we woke up, packed up and headed to my sister's to spend a little bit of time with her on her bday before we headed back home. I got as much cuddle time as I could with little Berlin! I miss her already!

Thanks to everyone who made it a fun trip! It was great to spend so much time with our family and I declared it a business free trip (besides Berlin's pics of course)..and that made it very relaxing as well!

Can't wait to come back in July for a fabulous wedding shoot, some time in Boise, and some time at the cabin in McCall!! :)

Alexa Had to Get Stitches

On Sunday night, Alexa was playing with a family member's dog and we realized too late that he doesn't like little ones down close to his face. Alexa got the brunt of it and he bit her. She got scratches and bruises, but one cut that was wide enough that we felt we needed to see if we needed to take her in. We took her to my inlaw's neighbor first, who is a nurse and she tried to close it with a butterfly bandage, but we just couldnt get it to close. So we decided to take her to the InstaCare.
It was so sad because we had to hold her down while they irrigated it and numbed it, and she is so strong...that even with Brandon, a nurse, and myself holding her down, she wiggled free a few times. The worst part was that they had to give her two shots into her wound and it was hard to see. She only ended up needing one stitch because with dog bites, the risk of infection is very high, so they didnt want to completely close it up. Part of her cheek fat was coming out of the cut and so they had to atleast stitch that up so it could heal properly.
She goes in on Friday to get it checked out and the stitch removed! She was so brave and we are so thankful that it wasn't worse! We just hope it heals up nicely with no infection and little to no scarring!
This is before it got cleaned and stitched up at InstaCare

This was later that night.

Chayse's PreSchool Graduation

Last night Chayse graduated from his first year of preschool! I am so proud of all he has learned and how far he has come this past year! He found his love for singing and getting up and doing it in front of his class or a big crowd. His love for drawing jumped leaps and bounds and he is actually very good for his age. He is spelling small words and sounding them out, and loves writing! His teachers, Jen and her mom Linda...are absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better preschool for Chayse to go to.

Here are the pics from his Graduation Dinner at Pizza Plus and his actual Graduation. The quality of the pictures is very low and I am not too impressed with my Nikon point and shoot. Thats for another post though..so sorry..you have to deal with bad pics haha! We were sad because Brandon had to work at the hospital last night, so he missed the dinner, but luckily he was able to slip away and see Chayse graduate! :)

Chayse loves taking pictures, and he insisted on taking some of me. He just may be following in my footsteps! The best part about it is that he takes the pic, looks at it on the camera with a big smile and says "Cute, that's really cute."

Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt, and Stacy and Jamie for coming to help support Chayse! We missed the rest of you and wish you could have come!

Chasye with his teacher Jen, who is amazingly fabulous at what she does and a good friend!

I am so so so proud of you little buddy! Now I just have to figure out what we are going to do all summer without preschool! Haha! His life revolved around preschool and what was coming next, and what letter they would learn, and what he could bring for sharing, etc. He truely loves school and I love that about him!

Some new pictures of My Little Ones!

I finally got Alexa's 2 yr pics done. I still have to do some outdoor ones, but got these done for now! She is such a ham! I love it. I was pretty sure it would be a fiasco..but she suprised me! Chayse wanted to get in on the picture action and wanted to do all his own poses. It was cute!

Just a few pics

Here are just a few little pics for a random post.
After dinner the other day, Alexa decided she hadn't had enough fries. Next thing we know she had piled every last fry that was left on the pan, and sat down to enjoy them while watching TV. (No she didn't end up eating them all). She is our little eater..our CONSTANT eater. I swear that girl is the bottomless pit. As stated before, Alexa loves food. This shows her excitement over a little baggie of Marshmallows.

What's a post without a picture of My Littlest Main Man! He has his moments that are getting further and further between, that he will be a poser and smile for pics. I will take what I can get because I love the result! :) Love you buddy!
