Alexa's First Haircut!

So I did something I didnt think I would do! I got Alexa's haircut! (She had a trim from my friend Jacque last spring, but this was her first, actual, in the salon haircut.) I was so excited that it was getting long and I loved it! I always wanted my little girl to have long gorgeous hair and I patiently..maybe not so patiently sometimes..waited for it to get longer. It was to her shoulders, but today I got this crazy thought to get her hair cut into a bob! She hadnt ever had a haircut and as hard as it was to see her "baby hair" be cut off, I know it was needed. I love it! Its already thicker and I am so excited for her longer thicker hair to come in the future! :)

Awww she make my heart melt and has for almost two years now! Cant believe her birthday is in just a week and a half! Lets party!!!

Cooking Blog

Did my first post on there tonight! Go check it out! I know you have all probably made and eaten both of these, but they were firsts on the making end for me! I am trying two new recipes this week so stay tuned for those!

A little bit of Organization up in here!

My wonderful friend Shanna came over tonight to help me organize my pantry! It was completely overwhelming me and she is someone who is so clean and organized..I knew she would be the perfect person to help! You should see the amount of cardboard we recycled from that pantry. There...I did my part to help save the world! I recycled! ;) Here are the before and after pictures!Thanks Shanna! You rock. Next...the upstairs closet! Haha!

Happy 18th Bday Jordan!

A Suprise Girl's Night!

Its my friend Jenny's birthday on the 25th, and I wanted to do something really special for her! She is a really good friend and is always there for me! She is always so willing to give of her time and friendship! She is a great example to me and I am so thankful to have her as a friend! Love ya Jenny!

So anyways a few of us girls put together a fun suprise overnighter for her! It was 10 days before her birthday so she wasn't expecting it at all! I did tell her that I was just taking her out to dinner at The Olive Garden, but there was really a group of girls waiting for her.

(dont ask. in fact there are a few pictures you may wonder about..and just chalk it up to us being tired and silly and feeling some freedom for one night :) )

It was so fun to just sit, relax, eat good food and laugh..a lot! We stayed there for about 2.5 hrs, and our waiter was great about us just sitting there gabbin! I think he got a pretty good tip though for his patience! :) We had a cake brought out to her and a whole group of waiters singing to her! It was fun! (Well for us anyway!..Jenny blushed a little..but I told her to just clap and sing along because then no one would know they were singing to her! HahThen we suprised her with a room at the Marriott that Jill and I had decorated beforehand! There were 5 of us that stayed over night. We ate entirely too much junk food, and stayed up ENTIRELY to late! I think it was 4am by the time we got to bed! I think we were all paying for it the next day! :)

It was seriously so much fun and I definitely think we should make it into a bi-annual thing like we were talkin about! We have a fun group of girls and we always have a blast! :)

I just got a new camera, a fun little point and shoot Nikon that has a fun little touch screen! Love it, but still trying to figure out all the settings, so the coloring and clarity isnt the best on these pictures. I was having too much fun to sit and figure it out that night!

P.S. Also, a huge thanks to Casey, Jenny's "hunk-o-love"..for helping make all this happen, as well as her parents! Thanks a bunch!

Ringin in the New Year with the Reeses!

We had a great New Years with The Reese Family! We had pizza, let the kids play, played the Wii and of course talked..and talked...and talked...its what we do best right. Well I should clarify, Shanna and I did. The guys were too engrossed with the game to pay attention to us! ;)

Its always a party at our house! A picture party! Haha! Do you expect anything else from me? The guys got roped into being our photographers. They secretly loved it! Haha!

One of my New Year's Resolutions

I decided that as one of my resolutions this year, I want to be a better cook. I can cook. I can read instructions. I can make the same things, pretty dang well. (Ok ok..there have been some flops..but Im not dwelling on that ok!)

I want to be a cook with variety my friends! I want to learn new dishes, try them out on my family, and hope they live through it to tell me whether or not I should give up this whole shenanigan! I start a cooking blog, well...I made it, put on a background, designed a header..(over a year ago)..and its blank! BUT...I will be posting my new found recipes that actually make it in the ok pile! (Just click on the link under my header)

New Blog Look!
